Many years ago a giant sea turtle was roaming the sea, this turtle was the Kono' maka, a species of legendary power. The people of Āina loved on the back of the Kono' maka, the Āinian people spent generations living and growing on the Kono' maka. One woman changed all of it, they called her Nomāko, she wanted power and wanted to control the great Kono' maka. She influenced many tribesmen to follow her rise up against the Kono' maka, they used the Luh from the sea to control the waves and the sea itself. They used this power to kill the Kono' maka, the village that lived on the back of the great turtle sunk to the sea bed and thousands died, the remaining Āinians traveled in boats drifting in the sea for years, Nomākos greed and lust for power had destroyed the one thing the Āinians relieded on the most. Nomāko's follower turned against her, they bounded her in chains and threw her off the side of her boat, they also threw the Luh that she used into the sea. They say that she used that Luh to free herself from the chains and that she still lurks in the ocean to this day, killing anything that she sees...
